Not sure for how long, hopefully not long at all to be honest, but I can't be sure.

Basically I can't connect to my wireless internet. I'm just receiving "Local/Limited access" and no connection to the internet. I think its a common problem but I haven't be able to fix it.

hmmm...
try going to ipv4 config.

Copy all the IP already written in some note.
then try "automatically detect".
DNS : 255.255.255.0

If your ISP have provided firewall, which they basically do, at time of maintainence, it will bug it off, and u will be able to play . hahaha

In india, i do this, and it works. Also linux provides a good platform to fck the ISP's

It's strange, happened ever since I got a new router. I know the router works fine as another laptop (One I'm using now) connects fine, as well as my Xbox. But my laptop receives Local only access. I've tried changing all my wireless settings but no luck. I was wondering if it could be something to do with my network adapter and I'm going to uninstall mine and install the one that works on this laptop

Try going to your laptop's manufacturer's site and download the latest drivers for your chipset and wireless network hardware? One thought, it might be which type of signal your laptop receives but then you wouldn't connect to the internet at all.

Called up my ISPs technical support, sounded like Spiral was on the other end of the line. Are gypsies taking over IT nowadays? Damn..

Anyway they couldn't fix it. Said it was a problem with my laptops wireless adapter. This might take longer to fix than expected..

I'm connected now through a plugin (USB) adapter. It's not a fix but it's a workaround for the time being

FBI aren't active in the UK lol. You'd have to call SOCA. Or if things get real hasty, get James Bond to contact MI5; or MI6, can't make the difference between either of them though.
