Despite the negative opinions, I think it's actually one of the best Call of Duty games. I beat it on the Xbox 360 on veteran in one night and it's campaign was awesome! Also the online was super eazy because I swear to go the real players are more dumb then bots could ever be in any game. Over all great game in my opinion, especially for those who like fast paced action and FPS.

Oh you  Rofl

CoD4 on PC is one of the top two CoDs ever made (CoD2&4) and I agree, the campaign indeed was awesome Very Happy

Although while were on the subject of "Call of Duty", I know this is a bit off topic but, what does everyone think about Sledgehammer Games take on COD known as "Advanced Warfare"?

TBH I don't like the futuristic crap, I'd rather play a game which sets in 1945 than in 2145, any day.

CoD4 was set in present time, not in future nor in the past.

I don't know, each has its good points. I like sci-fi shooters as well as more realistic ones. In my honest opinion I didn't like World at War, but I liked Big Red One.

lol no shit, I was saying a general statement that applies to all games, not just CoD. As for the CoD series, MW (1, 2, 3) which set in present time, like you said, is as far as I'd like to go. BO II is an exception because it was futuristic, but not unrealistic, and it was very fast paced, which I liked.

It was a decent game, not my personal favourite of the Call of Duty games but still a good one. Not as good as it's predecessor Modern Warfare 2. The single-player campaign was fairly good, the last level just pissed me off on Veteran took me a while to complete. Stupid long corridor with lots of enemies. The game was definitely a step up from the previous ones about World War 2 and the battles in the 40's. Still, I prefer those over this new futuristic junk, Black Ops 2 kinda ruined Call of Duty for me. I don't think I will feel much better about Advanced Warfare so I have been avoiding it.

Rofl Rofl Rofl
Pls MW2 was a ripoff from cod4 just another wasted 60 bucks, same goes for every cod afterwards, which are all still just ripoffs of cod4 with same gameplay and graphics (yay you get new.single player campaign and maps, maybe weapons)

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

Post  GreenEye on Sun May 17, 2015 8:47 am

Modern Warfare 2 was a really good game in my opinion, I remember when the first Call of Duty came out I was not really a huge Fan. I actually remember boy-coting the COD Franchise for the longest time, until I actually started playing Modern Warfare 2 frequently. Let's be honest as well, it was not that bad of a sequel and I didn't purchase it brand-new either so I didn't spend 60$. The Campaign for it might not have been as strong as the first game, but the Multi-player was really entertaining.

I still f**king hate it when people end the match with a "tactical nuke".
